America’s Unholy Ghosts is a 4-week course rooted in a conversational lecture and dialogue provides that aims to help participants understand what MLK referred to as “the ideational roots of race hate.” Together, we investigate how some of the big assumptions of  American Democracy and Christianity were intentionally designed to harmonize with slavery and race based inequalities. The course comes to a close examining MLK’s pursuit of an interracial and egalitarian democracy.
